I’m relatively new to Tibi & its style classes but I am kind of obsessed. I’ve heard some people say their style classes are just a marketing ploy. While that may be true, I still love the classes for teaching me how to verbalize style choices intelligently and be intentional with the pieces I add to my collection.
Their end of season sale is going on right now, so here are my sale picks from Tibi:

Now moving onto fundamentals. Most of these are sold out in my size right now. According to Tibi SoHo staff, the fundamental line should be getting restocked sometime in February. Here are the items I’ve had my eyes on.

As I look to 2025 and think about intentional spending, I’ve given my shopping habits some thought. My “shopping sprees” have been mostly during emotional or stressful times. For example, when I lived in New York, January/February tended to be high-spend months because I tend to get depressed/discontent during those colder/darker months. In fact, shopping has always served as a way for me to deal with stress. Unfortunately, stress shopping tends to take place in low-stakes, cheaper stores like Zara, H&M, or TikTok, and I was unlikely to score items that would be long-lasting and have low cost-per-wear.
So I’m trying a new approach:
Keep a tightly edited wishlist and invest in pieces I know I will get a lot of wear.
Always read the return policy and try things on in person whenever possible.
Look through Poshmark, TRR, or other secondhand sites first (only possible when you know exactly what you want!)
Prioritize fit and composition. Tailor and dry clean as needed! *I’ve discovered Rinse, which picks up and delivers your dry cleaning. They also do wash & fold and can even give away clothing for donation. You can try it and get $25 off your first service with this link.
Sell or donate what I don’t wear anymore.
Happy shopping/browsing!
